José Luis Gayà underwent surgery this Tuesday in Turku, Finland, to treat the muscle and tendon rupture suffered to his left rectus femoris. Dr. Lasse Lempainen, under the supervision of Dr. Pedro López Mateu. -director of the Valencia CF Medical Department- performed the procedure.
Gayà is expected to return to Valencia in the coming hours.
